First Student Ministries is geared toward youth in grades 6th through 12th. We believe in Following Jesus, Loving Big, Doing Good, and Connecting with Others.
Following Jesus:
Growing and deepening our faith is the top priority of First Student Ministries. We use
the Grow Curriculum to dive deep into the scripture and guide our discussions during
First Youth. We strive to equip our students to Follow Jesus in their words and actions
in their everyday lives.
Loving Big:
Jesus said the greatest commandment is to Love the Lord your God with all your heart
and with all your souls and with all your mind and to love your neighbor as yourself
(Matthew 22: 37-39). First Student Ministries seeks to create an inclusive and
welcoming environment for all youth and their families. Love is the cornerstone of our
faith and we want to Love Big, like Jesus.
Doing Good:
John Wesley once said, “Do all the good you can. By all the means you can. In all the
ways you can. In all the places you can. At all the times you can. To all the people you
can. As long as you ever can.” In First Student Ministries, we strive to Do Good by
creating opportunities for youth to serve through missions inside the church, in the NWA
community, and beyond. We believe that no matter your age, you can be the hands and
feet of Jesus both in our service and through our actions.
Connecting With Others:
Connection is at the core of all our programming, whether that’s through participation in
the life of our church or within our community.
Sunday Mornings
Sundays - 9:20 am - 10:20 am in the Basement for grades 6th-12th
Sunday Mornings is where youth gather to grow, connect, and wrestle with Scripture together. Whether we’re walking through a devotional or discussing issues happening in our world, the focus is always on how God is speaking to us today. It’s a time for conversation, reflection, and building faith in community.
I.D.E.A. Method:
First Youth (Sunday Night)
Sundays - 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm in the youth room for grades 6th-12th
First Youth provides an opportunity for students to build community through dinner, games, and topical Bible study. Throughout the year, we also engage in fellowship activities, mission projects, and hear from guest speakers. We strive to create a safe and inclusive environment where students can form meaningful relationships and experience the church as their home.

Has your week been crazy? Looking for a place to decompress and relax? Bring a friend and come hang out in the youth room (basement)! You can play video games, board games, watch a movie, create with arts and crafts, work on homework, or simply relax and enjoy downtime with other youth. At 6:00pm, dinner and dessert are served upstairs in the Fellowship Hall. Each week, a different small group is offered - but all activities are open every night, so you can choose what you need most. Our goal is to do life together in the big, the small, the sacred, and the ordinary moments.
